The purpose of the filter is that it allows the added control for the photographer for the images being produced. The clear and ultraviolet filter is also called window glass filter or optical, which is transparent, and it does not perform filtering of incoming light at all. The main purpose of the clear and ultraviolet filter is to protect the front part of the lens.
