If you know a little bit about photography then flashes is not a new term for you as it is quite commonly used. Everyone must have noticed a flash of light whenever a photo is taken o0r captured. There can be other reasons for using flashes e.g. to capturing the fast or quick moving object, and also creating a different temperature light than the ambient light. In simple words, the use of flash is to illuminate the scenes that do not have adequate light to expose the photograph.

The flashes are of various types but before we talk about the modern flash first of all it is important know which type of flashes were used previously. The flash bulbs, flashcubes, magicubes, and flipflash are the types of the flashes used previously. The modern flash technology units are often electronic xenon flash lamps and another type of the flash units are called micro flashes. The common use of the flash is in indoors because there is not enough ambient light for a desired shuttered speed. The art of photography is quite enjoyable if you exactly know what to do and how to use the techniques to get the best results. It involves a lot of learning, practice and the right equipments too.
